Library Director

Meet our library director.

The Director of the Sigourney Public Library is Amanda Kelly.

Amanda (Bird) Kelly is originally from Keokuk County and after high school she went into the United States Navy. She served as an ABF on the USS Enterprise for four years before moving back to Iowa and becoming an employee of the Sigourney Public Library in 2009. In 2013, she got promoted to Library Director. 

She is very excited to be on this journey as Director. She hopes she can bring some fresh ideas and new adventures to the library and community.

She can often be found reading, creating art, doing various crafts, watching horror movies, or spending time with her husband, Nathan, and daughter, Eevee.
