The Friends of the Sigourney Public Library is a charitable organization founded in 1995 to help support the mission of the Sigourney Public Library and to promote interest in and use of its services and resources. Through a variety of fundraisers our all-volunteer organization supports ongoing literacy and cultural programs, subscriptions to electronic media, one-time equipment purchases, the Summer Library Program, and much more!
MEMBERSHIP
Membership in the Friends of the Sigourney Public Library is open to all persons in agreement with its purposes and indicating a desire to become a member. Each member is entitled to a single vote. BOARD
The board of the Friends of the Library has six elected officers drawn from the general membership. In addition, the library director serves as an advisor and a non-voting member. The Friends of the Sigourney Public Library operate on a fiscal year starting January 1 and ending December 31.
